Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing some delicious recipes to create for the Aussie festive season. This week’s blog is all about drinks! The non-alcoholic variety of course to help keep you in the festive spirit. These drinks are a fantastic way for you to increase your water consumption over the warmer months.
Warm Mulled Summer Berry Drink – Suitable for all steps.
Do you crave those amazing flavours that are usually added to make Mulled wine? Why not add them to Summer Berry water flavouring?
1L of hot water (not boiling)
1 tsp of Summer Berry Cambridge Water flavouring
Skin from an orange
1 stick of cinnamon or ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
1 star anise
4 whole cloves or ¼ of ground cloves.
Poor hot water over ingredients in a glass bowl or one that is heat proof, allow to sit and infuse for a few minutes. Strain to remove all the pieces and drink while warm. Delicious!
Vanilla Nog – Suitable for all steps.
Do you feel like you are missing out on Eggnog this year? Try this tasty little treat, and feel proud of those extra calories you won’t be consuming.
1 Vanilla Cambridge weight plan Shake
Can be served cold or warm, remember if using warm water, it must not be boiling as it depletes the nutrients in products. Make Vanilla shake as per instructions and add a little vanilla bean mix through and top with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.
Sparkling fruit Punch – Suitable for all steps
1 L Sparkling mineral or Soda water.
1 tsp Cambridge water flavouring my favourites are Summer Berry, Raspberry and Elderflower or Lemon and Lime.
Slices or lime
I cup crushed Ice.
¼ cup of mint leaves.
½ cup of frozen berries (If consuming berries please remember to take approx. 30kcal out of your daily allowance for steps 3 and above. Steps 1 and 2 can strain fruit)
Combine all ingredients in a jug and enjoy throughout the day. This is a beautiful refreshing drink to offer while entertaining over the festive season!
